Helen L. Daniel, 81, of Hollins, Va., passed away on Thursday, August 26,
2010. She was born in Tolleytown, W.Va., to the late George and Carrie
Hutchinson. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit; and son,
Lee. She is survived by her sons, Kermit and wife, Betsy, and Paul and wife,
Jackie; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Kermit and Helen
were well known for their years managing Valley Cleaners. Services
celebrating her will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 29, 2010, at Simpson
Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke, Va., with graveside services
held immediately afterwards at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will
receive friends from 2 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, please
make donations to Family Service of Roanoke Valley or Local Office on Aging.
