Robert Samuel Dillon, born June 30. 1929 in Ramer, TN. to Bob and Ora Robertson Dillon, passed away on Saturday, March 5. 2016 in the hospital in Columbia, TN. at the age of 86. He joined the US Army and served in the Korean conflict during 1950-1953. After he came home, he made his way to Memphis, where he lived for 20 years, building swimming pools. From there he moved to Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a carpenter by trade, and an all around handyman, working with his hands. He loved to garden, growing tomatoes was his favorite, as well as eating them. He really loved to tell silly jokes and stories to make people laugh.
He is survived by 4 daughters, Becky, Renee, Lisa, Rejetta (David), and sons Chad and Josh, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. A sister Ethel Lowrance. Wife, Pat Cotton.
He was preceded in death by his oldest son, Robert Elvin Dillon in 1971. Parents Ora and Bob, 3 sisters, Nelda, Glenda, Nova Dillon Nelson and 3 brothers, F.D., Bill, Bobby Dillon.
Graveside service will be Friday. March 25, 2016 at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Selmer TN. at 2:00 PM with Brother William Teague officiating.
