Eleanor Byrne was the daughter of the late Harry and Sidney Forde Byrne. She was a 1926 graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names and 1931 graduate of Russell Sage College. Before her retirement in 1973 as principal laboratory secretary, she was employed for 40 years by the division of laboratories and research of the New York State Department of Health. She was a member of the Albany of Albany Institute of History and Art, the Hudson-Mohawk Bird Club and the Friends of Five Rivers. Ms. Byrne was formerly active in the Catholic Woman's Service League and Childs Hospital Gift Shop. She is survived by cousins.
