Art Adams was born November 6, 1927 and passed away March 11, 2016. Art grew up in New Orleans and served two tours in the military. He then earned a doctor's degree in Health and Physical Education from LSU. Art served as a full professor at ULM for many years where he finally retired. After his retirement, Art enjoyed staying active and fit. He received many medals for physical achievement one year at the Senior Olympics. The last few years of Art's life were plagued with illnesses and he finally passed away peacefully at St Francis Hospital. He is now at his true home with Jesus Christ where there is no suffering or sorrow, only happiness forever.
He is preceded in death by his parents Mr and Mrs Arthur Adams; first wife, Jane Adams; and his daughter, Carol Irvin.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Adams; and his son, David Adams. Survivors from Ruth's side of the family include Robin Simmons, Mark Bramble, and Emily McDuff.
