Funeral services for Maurice Cohn, of Pima, will be conducted Friday morning, May 23, 2014, at 10:00 a.m., at the Pima L.D.S. Chapel by Bishop Mike Brown of the Pima Fourth Ward. Concluding services will follow in the Bryce Cemetery with military honors being conferred by the Gila Valley Veterans' Honor Guard.

Maurice Nathan Cohn beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, took his final flight into the wild blue yonder, Tuesday morning, May 13, 2014, at his residence, with his wife, Kathryn, at his bedside. He was 90.

Maurice Nathan Cohn was born December 27, 1923, in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii, to Valentine Nathan Cohn and Eugenia California Foster. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He served in the United States Air Force for twenty years, and then retired and became a teacher.

Maurice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Dad had a strong testimony and love for the Gospel. He held numerous callings in the church, including Bishop. He returns to our Heavenly Father with honor.

A very special thanks for all the love and care Kathryn's family gave to our dad. Aloha O'e.

Maurice leaves behind: his wife, his four children, his seventeen grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; his six step-children, his twenty-seven step-grandchildren and ninety-three step-great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind a brother and numerous nephews and nieces.

Maurice was preceded in death by: his parents, Valentine and Eugenia; his wife, Lorene; a brother, William; and his sister, Tusi.
