Murray B. Allen was a blind educator in Utah. He was the executive secretary for the Utah Commission for the Adult Blind. He had a Blind Center named after him that was located at 309 East 300 South in Salt Lake City. He arranged to have Helen Keller, Polly Thomson (teacher) and Mr.s Gifford come to speak in the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City on March 12, 1941. The Tabernacle choir sang, the Governor was the master or ceremonies and many leaders of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints attended. The Tabernacle was full. Murray B. Allen made significant changes to help blind people in Utah.
