This stone says "John C. Bennett" but I strongly believe this is Johnny Columbus Bennett, son of Isaac M. Bennett and Phebe Gist Bennett. He is buried beside his sister, Emily Jane Bennett Inghram. He was a farmer. I do not know why he is buried in Lee County. He appeared with his family in the 1900 Itawamba County, Mississippi census. The only thing I know is that he went to live with relatives when he got sick and he had Hutcheson and Inghram relatives that had recently moved to the area this cemetery is in.
