Michael J. Duncan, 54, of Brockton, died Oct. 21, 2010, in the Boston Medical Center. He was a son of the late Ronald and Jean (Thomson) Duncan. He was born in Boston and lived in Avon then in Palm Harbor and Oldsmar, Fla. before moving to Brockton. He graduated from Avon High School. Mr. Duncan worked at Wal-Mart in Avon for many years. Previously he worked for Chapman Lamp Company. He was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed all sporting events. The family would like to thank Golden Living Center in Attleboro for their care and support during Michaels final years. Survivors include his brother, Paul Duncan of Brockton; a sister, Susan Evers of Wareham; several aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins. He was the brother of the late Bruce Duncan and Sandra Barlock. His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., (Rte. 28), Wareham. Visiting hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
