Mr. Abanatha died at 6 p.m. Sunday at Life Care Center of La Center.
He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local Union and retired in 1975 as an assembly worker for Modie Manufacturing in Paducah. He was a member of Bethel Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Johnny W. Abanatha and Jerry L. Abanatha, both of Kevi; one sister, Francis Hart of Paducah; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Flowers Abanatha. His parents wee Robert Wayne Abanatha and Lela Mae Kuykendall Abanatha.
