Russel 'Russ' Lee Auberg, the son of Henry and Eva Lou (Roghair) Auberg was born on February 22, 1951 in Sheldon, IA. His childhood years were spent in the Boyden, IA area. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1969. After graduation he worked at the packing plant and married Sonya Winter. They later divorced.
Russ moved to Texas where he worked in the oil fields, before marrying Donna Johnson. They later divorced. He continued his education at Iowa Lakes before moving to Phoenix, AZ where he worked for Cookson & Co. He then moved back to Spencer, IA in 1995 and worked at Eaton's until his retirement in 2013.
Russ enjoyed fishing, Hunting, being outdoors, playing on the computer, antiquing, genealogy, and collecting marbles, but his greatest joy was spending time with family.
Russ passed away on Monday, March 14, 2016 at his home, at the age of 65. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Eva Lou, from Spencer, IA; 2 daughters, Sarah [redacted] of Colorado, and Randi [redacted] of Royal, IA; 2 sisters, [redacted]; 2 brothers, [redacted] of Spencer, IA; 5 grandchildren, [redacted]; other relatives; and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Russ' name.
