Baltimore SUN, 5 January 1980

NOTES: Anna Mina Koppelman Raab, called Minnie or Mina, was the sixth of the eight children of John Harman Koppelman (1862-1929) and Anna Schaub Koppelman (1868-1938), truck farmers in the village of Gardenville, on Belair road near Herring Run.

After Minnie's only elder sister, Emma Koppelman, married Walter R. Hedeman in 1906, much of the burden of helping to run a farm household fell on Minnie, including minding four rambunctious brothers and two infant sisters. At age 28, Minnie married George Peter Raab, a handsome stonemason.

Mina and George Raab had five children: Gertrude Mary Raab Bush; Anna Evelyn Raab Jones; Ruth Raab Sterner; George; and Edna Raab Thomas. Mina was greatly beloved by her children and grandchildren for her mild temper and affectionate, kind nature.
