Mr. Denham began his career with Delaware Coach Co. and later opened Bill's Market which was located in the Hamilton Park area. He changed careers and started his own trucking and sanitation company known as Denham Trucking.
Bill's beloved wife, Mildred V. Denham, passed away in April 2000. He was also preceded in death by his son, Calvin Denham, who died in 1998 and his grandson, Robert Denham, who died in 1997. Survivors include his devoted son, William L. Denham, Jr. and his wife, Marian of Middletown; his sister, Thelma Simpers of Newark; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
