MRS. ANNIE D. McLELLAND
Mrs. Annie Dearing McLelland, 79, of Harrisburg, died at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, in the Memphis Baptist Memorial
Hospital where she had been a patient since suffering a stroke on November 6th.
Born in Newton, Miss., December 2, 1897, she was a retired postmaster at Weona, and a member of First United
Methodist Church at Harrisburg.
Survivors include one son, George F. McClelland of Harrisburg; two daughters, Mrs Annie Bell Gardner of Scottsdale,
Arizona and Mrs. Hazel King of Harrisburg; two sisters, Mrs. Lorene Hill of Houston, Miss. and Mrs. Flora Bell Hunter
of Cherry Valley; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. A son, T.M. "Buddy" McClelland, preceded
her in death.
Funeral services were held 10:00 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodiat Church with the pastor, Rev. J. Anthony
Holifield, officiating. Burial was in Harrisburg Memorial Park.
Pallbearers were grandson-in-law, Dewayne Rorex of Jonesboro, Robert Bland, Billy Loughary, Eddie and Bobby Faulkner,
all of Harrisburg and David Sefers of Memphis. Jackson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
