Born Aug. 9, 1918 in Benham, Ind., she was the daughter of John C. and Elsie (Schwagmeier) Benham. She married Wayne Roberts in September, 1936 and he preceded her in death on March 9, 1983.
She was a member of the Delaware United Methodist Church and Eastern Star of Milan, Ind., Electra 135 Chapter. She owned and operated Locust Lane Ceramic Shop of Delaware for about 17 years.
She is survived by four sons, James A. Roberts of Delaware, William W. Roberts of Vevay, Ind., John E. Roberts of Rochester, Ind., and David B. Roberts of Osgood; two daughters, Lois L. Workman of Delaware, and Grace Everage of Milan; two brothers, John R. Benham of Osgood, and James H. Benham of Benham, Ind; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Laura Lou Roberts in June, 1952; and one sister, Mairiam Roudebush.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday at Delaware Methodist Church. She will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Mud Pike Cemetery at Osgood.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Neal's Funeral Home in Osgood.
Memorials may be made to Delaware United Methodist church or Mud Pike Cemetery.
