LtCol.(ret) US Army. Served in World War II, Korean War and Viet Nam. It has been two months now since my father passed away, and it has taken this time for me to try and put into words something other than the typical statements and bio's. My father should still be here as he was in better shape than me. A veteran of three wars, he served this nation with honor and distinction. He was married to my mother for sixty years two months and eighteen days. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather and a great-grandfather. There are many things I will miss about him, mostly at Thanksgiving when he would come up to spend it with us even after mom passed. He would carve the turkey, and we would have a great time. The day after we would watch college football and have left over turkey, I will miss that. You were a good father and I learned a lot from you. I will miss you as I miss mom, I know you too are together and that the wait to reunite is over. I love you Dad.
