The Progress, Clearfield, Pa., Saturday, August 16, 1980 -- DUBOIS - Ethel Harriger, 99, of Penfield died Friday, Aug. 15, in the DuBois Nursing Home. - Born Jan. 26, 1881, in Bigler, she was the daughter of Alexander and Marietta (Kyler) McMartin. - She was the last surviving member of the John W. Kyler pioneer family. - She is survived by three daughters, Edith Connor of Nutley, N.J., Dorthy Barrett of Fords, N.J., and Regina Carlson of Penfield; four grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and seven great-greatgrandchildren. - Mrs. Harriger was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Harriger, one daughter, one sister and three brothers. - Services will held Monday at 11 a.m. from the Mohney-Yarger Funeral Chapel Inc. in DuBois, with the Rev. Roy Hunter officiating. Interment will be in the Morning Side Cemetery. - Friends may call at the chapel from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. - The family suggests contributions be made to the First Baptist Church of DuBois building fund.
