Edna Belt age 92, of Missouri Valley, Iowa passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016 at her home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. Edna was born August 29, 1923 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to John and Margaret (Rief) Thompson. Edna was married to Gilbert Belt in Council Bluffs, Iowa, they were parents of a daughter, Donna (husband John M. Burbridge) and an infant son, they were married for forty-four years.
Gilbert passed away in 1985. Edna worked for the Daily Nonpareil for over fifty years retiring in 2001. She had lived in the Crescent area all of her life.
Edna was preceded in death by parents, husband Gilbert, infant son, one sister, five brothers.
Survivors include her daughter; granddaughter; three grandsons; four great-grand-daughters; one great-grandson one great-great-granddaughter.
Final Resting place will be in the Grange Cemetery, Honey Creek, Iowa.
