Robert Thomas Eva, 41, of Butte, died Saturday evening, Sept. 30, 2006, at his home.

Bob was the son of the late Robert and Carol Ann Eva. He was born in Butte on June 28, 1965, attended local schools and graduated from Butte High in 1983. After graduation, Bob entered the Marine Corps, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C., and Okinawa, Japan. He later attended Western Montana College and Montana Tech.

He was a MHA with Alta-Care at West Elementary, where he thoroughly enjoyed his work with the students. He was also a proud athletic coach within the school district.

Bob enjoyed sports of all kinds, including football, bird hunting and fishing, but his true passion was golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Carol Ann Eva; grandparents, Harry and June Atcheson; and grandfather, Thomas "Bud" Eva.

Survivors include his grandmother, Jewel Eva of Butte; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jamie and Jessie James of Butte, Jodi Eva and David Hames of Livingston, Bonnie Sue Eva and Rodney Gainan of St. Ignatius; nephews and niece, Andrew, Jordan, Justin and Taujha; aunts and uncles, Loralee and Gene Davenport, Vickie and Pat Peck; and dear friend, Tawnya Mock, all of Butte.

Bob will be fondly remembered for his many contributions to the youth within the community. He left a legacy of kind memories and sincere leadership.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Wayrynen-Richards Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Wareham officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bob's honor may be made to West Elementary or to a charity of the donor's choice.
