Alicia Kay Castaneda was an excellent student at Orange Park High, graduating in 2005. She was well on her way to obtaining her dream, a degree from UCF, and she was planning to start her sophomore year August 21st. She was extremely bright, friendly, funny, generous, sensitive, compassionate, warm, and loving. Her beauty radiated inside and out. Alicia has so many close friends and family who love her so much, including her father, Hector Castaneda, step-mother, Cheryl Castaneda, her mother, Gwen Harvey, her step-father, Matt Harvey, her little sister, Alexandra Harvey, grandparents, Gerald and Margaret Harvey, grandmother, Waltraud Paehler, grandmother, Arlette Pennington, grandmother, Marsha Houser, grandfather, Ronald Jackson, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who were close to her. We all adored her more than words can ever say. This is a tragedy not only to those who love her most, but to everyone whose lives she ever touchedโ€” and to those who she never got a chance to meet, due to her untimely death. She was beat to death by her boyfriend.
