ARNOLD, Mr. Jerry D. Kalamazoo, MI Died Thursday morning March 3, 2016. Jerry was born April 2, 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Byron and Ada (Doorlag) Arnold.
During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Marines. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with 5/3 Bank for over 45 years, retiring in 2009. Jerry was a member of the N.H.R.A. and the American Legion, South Haven Post#49.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Meryl Koning.
On December 13, 1968, he was united in marriage to ... who survives. Also surviving, 2 sons; 2 grandchildren; a brother; 3 sisters; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins (names of the living have been omitted per Find A Grave rules).
Services will be held 1 o'clock Saturday, March 12th from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, March 11th at the chapel. Private interment will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Drag Racers Association for Women or Racers for Christ.
