Margaret Virginia (Eager) Duren, age 91, of Florissant, Missouri, formerly of Boonville, Missouri, died at Bent-Wood Nursing Center in Florissant, Missouri on Wednesday, August 8, 2012. Funeral services were held at the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Boonville at 10:00 am on Monday, August 13, 2012 with Pastor Judy Fiocco officiating.

Margaret was born on February 17, 1921, near Boonville, the daughter of Clarence Levi (Lee) Eager and Emma (Effinger) Eager. After graduating from Boonville High School she attended Central Methodist College in Fayette, graduating with a Bachelor of Music degree. She was married to Guy Cecil "Pete" Duren on April 21, 1954 in Ashtabula, Ohio. She was active in the music department of the Evangelical United Church of Christ for over 60 years.

Survivors include one son, two grandsons, one sister, along with several nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Pete, and one sister, Hazel Kuzich, formerly of Livonia, Michigan.
