Claude served his country from 1943-1965 in the United States Navy Air. He flew tactical missions during this time and in civilian life he was an aircraft enthusiast. He was proud to have gone on the Honor Flight in 2013.
In 1983, Claude and Arlene R. Southard united their paths and traveled extensively throughout the Unites States in their RV. He attended Lighthouse Bible Baptist Church regularly.
Claude is survived by his life partner, Arlene; two sons from his first marriage, Kenneth Jones of Texas and Daniel Jones of New Jersey and grandchildren. He is further survived by one sister, Marilyn St. George of Arizona; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother; three sisters, nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place and entombment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum, Ledgeview Memorial Park.
Thank you to his many caregivers in the last months that blessed him and eased his transition. Thank you Pastor Kennedy, wife Connie, and our church family for their loving support and kindness.
