Steven Roy Somerville, 69, of Buffalo passed away Monday, March 21, 2016 at home after a long illness.
He was born January 13, 1947 in Parkersburg, WV, and was a son of the late Roy William and Dorothy Virginia Watkins Somerville.
Steve was a carpenter and co-owned Somac Construction, and a member of Kanawha Valley Baptist Church, Eleanor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Sharon Allinder.
Surviving Steve are his wife, Hilda Martin Somerville; children, Chris Somerville(Mary) of Fraziers Bottom, and Toby Somerville(Alison Rogers) of Scott Depot; step-children Tawnya McDonie, Brian Wilson, Lesa Barnette, and Debbie Barnette; grandchildren include Kelsey, Jesse, Joshua, Tanessa, Justin, Matthew, Makenna, Kali, Isaiah, Mariah and Alliah and great-grandchildren Autumn and Tallon. Also surviving are his sister, Lee Ann Browning (Jim) of Dunbar and brother Keith Somerville(Dee) of Hamlin.
Steve’s Memorial Service will be 5:00 pm Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield with Pastor Robert Watkins officiating.
Visitation will be an hour prior to the service Saturday at Chapman Funeral Home, Winfield.
Burial at a later date in Buffalo Memorial Park, Buffalo.
