B. FRANK CARPENTER
B. Frank Carpenter died yesterday afternoon at the family residence No. 515 Hector street. He was 23 years of age. The deceased had been ill for about three years since he had an operation for appendicitis. The immediate cause of his death was consumption. He was a clerk at the stamp window in the post office, and in January was given a two month leave of absence. In April it was extended until September 1st. He took a trip to the Adirondacks and for a time appeared to gain in health. He was a member of Torrent Hose Co., No. 5, and of the Ithaca Cycle Club. Kind word are expressed about him all over the city and his early death is lamented.
He is survived by his parents and two younger brothers.
The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence, the Rev. W.H. York, officiating. Interment in Lakeview cemetery.
