Violet had three older sisters, named Iris Virginia, Verl Jean and Ila Louise Finnell.
Vi first married Michael Joseph Kauzlarich and they had one daughter, Michele Lynn (Fridlington). They later divorced. She had an out-of-wedlock daughter by Bernie McMahon, named Deborah Lea (Robertson). Vi then married Vince James Sacco, and they had a daughter together, Sue Ann (Conger). They later divorced. Her last marriage was to Edward John Bubenyak on 11 Feb 1967 at Centerville. They were the first couple to be married at the then-new St. Mary's Catholic Church. They remained married until his death in 1998. They had no children together.
In all, Vi had three children (daughters Michele, Debbie and Sue), seven grandchildren (Lisa, Nicole, Anthony, Chuck, Courtney, Chris and Mike), and numerous great-grandchildren.
As per Violet's wishes, her body was cremated and her ashes were scattered.
