Paul F. Baldi, 82, of Manchester and formerly of East Hartford, beloved husband of the late Frances (Levasseur) Baldi, died Sunday, (February 21, 2010) at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He was born January 19, 1928 in Hartford, son of the late Francis and Josephine (Gallinberti) Baldi and lived in East Hartford for over 50 years before moving to Manchester in 1995. Mr. Baldi was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving during World War II. Paul retired in 1995 after many years as Manager of the NAPA Auto Parts stores in East Hartford. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He and his late wife had traveled the world extensively. Mr. Baldi attended St. James Church in Manchester and was a former member of St. Mary's Church in East Hartford. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Georgia A. & Eddie Asselin of Manchester, his son and daughter-in-law Gregory A. & Angela Baldi of West Hartford, four grandchildren, Brett Asselin of Vernon, Bethany Torello and her husband Jeffrey of Rocky Hill, Stephanie Phelps and her husband Michael of Newington, Glen Baldi of West Hartford and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday February 27, 2010 at 12 p.m.at the Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester. Burial with Military Honors will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery in East Hartford. There are no calling hours.
