I took care of Jon at local hospital. We was a fantastic singer and wonderful person.His father Nelson took care of his son. Jon had all his medical taken care of by MGM.
Jon C. Svensson Jr., 71, of 202 W. Locust St., Bloomington, died at a.m. Thursday (Nov. 24, 2005) at LeRoy Manor, LeRoy. Per Jon's wishes, the body will be cremated and there will be no service.
Jon was as burly statue person. He is the son of Eddy and Maybelle Marston, a Philadelphia contralto, although Jon's adoptive parents' names appear on his birth certificate. When Jon was 14, the couple who raised him arranged a meeting with Eddy at the Drake Hotel in Chicago, and a few other meetings followed, Jon said.
