She was born May 3, 1921 in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Ann (O’Malley) Mortimer.
Enda enjoyed sewing, reading, and cooking. She especially loved traveling with her husband. Her favorite pastime, however, was spending time with her family and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children Patricia of San Francisco, Lloyd (Rita) of Chicago, James (Mary Ann) of Elgin, Jerome (Eneida) of Florida, Kathleen Cooney of Bloomingdale, and Mary Ann (Steve) Smunt of St. Charles; 14 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
Enda is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 72 years Lloyd who passed away in 2015.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 4, 2016 from 9:00 am until the time of the Celebration of Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1891 Kaneville Road, Geneva.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Rush Memory and Aging Project, Armour Academic Center, 600 S. Paulina Street, Suite 1026, Chicago, Illinois 60612 would be appreciated.
