Joseph's father Waclaw died in the steel mill in Sept 1920 and his mother married Waclaw's brother, Aleksander the following month. Polish customs. Joseph's stepfather/uncle is listed as father on the DC. His mother ultimately married a third time to Dombrowski, hence the final last name of mother.
