Fred was the son of William Henry Boring and Martha LeAnn Abbott Boring. He married Ruby Teffeteller in Blount County, Tennessee. They had 2 young children (Roy Thomas Boring and Bonnie Frances Boring) and moved from Tennessee to California in about 1936.

Note: Per his Tennessee obit (Maryville Daily Times) he was buried in LynnWood Cemetery in Hunting Park, CA, but that information is not correct. On June 24, 2017, I was contacted by Fred's grandson, Wayne, who was able to provide his burial location as Inglewood Park Cemetery.

Cause of Death: Hodgkin's Lymphoma
