GM3 US COAST GUARD WORLD WAR II

YAKIMA - Earnest Clayton Lincoln, 83, of Parker, passed away Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital.

Clayton was born July 27, 1920, in Hunters, WA, to James and Mary (Dixon) Lincoln. He moved to Yakima with his family at the age of 8. He attended Yakima Valley schools, then served in the U.S. Coast Guard from January, 1942 until June, 1946. Following his military service, Clayton worked as a carpenter, building homes, then worked on dam construction on the Snake and Columbia Rivers. Upon retiring, he bred and raised Siberian Huskies. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Clayton is survived by three sisters, Josephine Bohannon, Roxie Dean and Mary Olson, all of Yakima.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 16, 2004, at 10:00 a.m. at Terrace Heights Memorial Park with military honors. A reception will follow at Clayton's home in Parker.
