Wanda Mae Anderson was born February 19, 1932, in Waukon, IA, the daughter of Lester and Velma (Brandt) Neverman. She attended rural elementary schools and graduated from Waukon High School in 1950. On August 6, 1951, she married Ralph "Rocky" Anderson at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon. Wanda worked at the Soda Grill and Shamrock Inn as a waitress for several years. She also worked at the bowling alley and also as a cook for the Allamakee Community School District before she retired.
She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and had a deep faith in Christ. Wanda was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, being a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and having coffee gatherings at her house. Wanda also enjoyed her flowers on her patio, playing cards, and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.
Survivors include her children: Chris (Gary) Rumph of Waukon, Jean (Wayne) Schulte of Dorchester, IA, Dan (JoEllen) Anderson of Waukon, Janet (Tom) Walleser of Lansing, IA, and John (Gina) Anderson of Littleton, CO; a son-in-law Dennis Dahlstrom of Waukon; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law: Theresa Anderson of Florida and LouDene Neverman of Jesup, IA; and several nieces, nephews, and special friends from the Good Samaritan Center. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ralph, who died in 1991; a son David Anderson; a daughter Joan Dahlstrom; a sister Ardis Johnson; and three brothers: Earl, Maurice, and Claire Neverman.
Honorary urnbearers are Wanda's grandchildren. Urnbearer is her oldest grandson Christopher Dahlstrom.
