Robert Tenpenny, 51, 915 S. Elm St., died early Monday morning at his home after a brief illness. He was a native of Woodbury, Tenn., but had resided in Muncie for the last 25 years, having come here from McMinnville, Tenn. He was a former employee of the Muncie Gear Co., where he had been employed about 25 years.
Mr. Tenpenny had been a member of the Fairlawn Church of Christ.
He is survived by the widow, Irene; a brother, L.L. Tenpenny, and a sister, Mrs. Ruth Keith, both of McMinnville, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Stephens Mortuary with Ralph Price, minister of the Fairlawn Church, officiating. Burial will be in Elmridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the mortuary after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
