Joyce Smith, 86, of Hadley passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 at 11:01 p.m. at The Medical Center at Bowling Green.
The Campbellsville native was born October 16, 1929 to the late John Tom and Loma Loveless. She was also preceded in death by husband, Roy Smith, Jr. and son, David Wayne Smith as well as her siblings. As the matriarch of her family, she was the glue that held it together. She will be missed greatly by her family.
Survivors include one son, Steve Smith and his wife, Shelia Faye, of Scottsville; four daughters, Brenda Spainhoward and her husband, Bill, of Henderson County, Barbara Smith and her husband, Jeff, of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Patsy Morris and her husband, Tommy, of Henderson County, and Susan Hatcher and her husband, Tommy, of Morgantown; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the J.C. Kirby & Son Broadway Chapel with visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Highland Baptist Church Cemetery in Hadley.
