Statesboro, Georgia Mr. Dalen Johnnathaniel Smith, age 20, died Sunday March 27, 2016, following an accidental death.
Dalen was born in 1995 in Mansfield, Ohio. In 2005, he moved to Lakeland, Florida and then to Portal in 2007. He had lived between Ohio and Statesboro until his permanent move in 2015, returning to Statesboro. He had a great personality and was considered a "clown" to all of his family and friends. He was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Carolyn Quinot.
Surving are his father and step mother, Doug and Beth Smith of Metter; his mother, Donna McCombs of Marion, OH; his maternal grandmother, Josephine McCombs of Marion, OH and his sisters and brothers, Desiree Smith of Pembroke, Deidre Smith of Statesboro, Douglas Smith, Jr. and Ashley, Devin Smith, Rodrigo Smith and Raven Smith all of Metter and Kobe and Logan Huggins of Lakeland, Fl.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 10:00am until 11:00am at Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.Graveside services and burial will be at 11:30am at Upper Mill Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Karl Drew, Mark Cretchfield, David Porter, Craig Elliott, Kerry White and Richard Williams.
Funeral Home & Crematory of Statesboro is in charge of the arrangements.
