Parke C. Campbell, 85, of Lancaster, passed away on May14, 2006. Born in Conestoga, he was the son of the late Chester and Bessie Mae Sterneman Campbell. During WWII, Mr. Campbell served in the Army Air Force as a top tier gunner on a B17. He earned the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with six oak leaf clusters. He was a member of the Millersville VFW, American Legion, and Riverside Club. He is survived by five sons, Larry Campbell of Lancaster, Bruce, husband of Mary Campbell, of Conestoga, Keith Campbell of California, Rodney Campbell of Lancaster, and Chris, husband of Laurie Campbell, of Lebanon; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and four sisters. Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death. The funeral service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA on Thursday at 9 a.m. Interment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 8-9 a.m.
