Stratton B. Webster, 54, of Chardon, died Thursday of a heart attack at Geauga Community Hospital.
Mr. Webster was born in Coffeyville, Kansas. He lived in Chardon for 18 years, coming from Sylvania, Ohio.
He had been self-employed as a sugar broker for 23 years.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Air Force.
Mr. Webster is survived by his wife, Alice (nee Sutton); a daughter, Mrs. Robin (Stratina) Wilcox of Chicago; a son, Jeff of Painesville; three granddaughters; his parents, Dale and Wilma of Elyria; and a brother Gordon of Bay City, Michigan.
Memorial services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Burr Funeral Home, Chardon, with the Rev. Robert Penrod, pastor of Pilgrim Christian church, Chardon, officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 1689 East 115th St., Cleveland, OH 44106, or Diabetes Association of Greater Cleveland, 2022 Lee Road, Cleveland, OH 44106.
