VONIER, Betty Lou
born July 17, 1926, in Baylis, Illinois. Passed away September 28, 2006, in Lancaster, California. Her husband Dorwan preceded her in death on December 1, 1994, after 52 wonderful years together. Betty leaves one son Ray Vonier of Palmdale, California. Betty has touched many lives. She belonged to the Lancaster Methodist Church for many years. Betty also was very active in the Palmdale Church where she held many offices of the United Methodist Woman. Betty was an avid bowler, for many years where she also served on the board of directors (A.V.W.B.A.). Betty joined the Palmdale Women of the Moose, in 1972, also was a past president for the Palmdale Elks emblem club #319, holding many various offices. Betty and her husband Dorwan had a love for children, they fostered fifty three children ranging from 1969 to 1981, stretching from Orange County to Los Angeles counties. Betty Lou will be laid to rest beside her husband at Eternal Valley Memorial Park and Mortuary, 23287 N. Sierra Hwy, Newhall, California, on Monday, October 9, 2006, at 12 noon.
