A devout Christian, loving husband and father who served in the US Army during WWII with the B Troop, 7th Cavalry and was a retired letter carrier with the USPS after 38 years. Preceded in death by parents, Albert and Annie; brothers, Earl and Jerome. Survived by his loving wife of 73 years, Helen; his children, Stephen (Mary) Andersen and Karen Vegtel; grandchildren, Eric Vegtel, John (Kathy) Andersen, Jeff Vegtel, Tom Andersen, Tim Vegtel; great-grandchildren, Jacob (Jenn) Vegtel, Evan Vegtel, Anju Vegtel, Kendra Andersen, Jeffrey Andersen, Krista Andersen, Jonathan Andersen; great-great grandchild, Logan Vegtel and many loving and caring nieces, nephews, other relatives, fabulous neighbors and friends.
