OBITUARY: The Daily Gleaner Fredericton, New Brunswick,
September 27, 2001

The death of Harold George Edmondson of Bayfield Manor, Ottawa, and formerly of Fredericton, husband of Kathleen (White) Edmondson, occurred on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at his residence. Born in Keswick he was the son of the late Harry and Mae (Rosborough) Edmondson. Mr. Edmondson was the owner and operator of Edmondson's Plumbing and Heating, and was a life long resident of Fredericton until moving to Ottawa to be with his children. He was a member of the Nashwaaksis Y's Men, the Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Diane K. Edmondson; his son Dwight H. Edmondson and his wife Cathy; his grandchildren, Ian and Eric, all of Ottawa; two brothers, Ross Edmondson and his wife Shirley of Fredericton, and Ronald Edmondson and his wife Emma of Keswick; four sisters, Marion Merrithew of Fredericton, Doris Burnett (Roy) of Kingsclear, Hattie Black (George) of Kingsclear, and Ella Mae Crawford of Hampton; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Edmondson was predeceased by a brother, Ernest; and sisters Kathleen Johnson, Hazel Edmondson, and Eva Bigelow. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton North, on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. from the Nashwaaksis Baptist Church, Edgewood Drive, Fredericton North. Rev. Kevin Culberson will officiate. Interment will take place in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances to the Parkinson Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
