"Fay Louis “Bob” Isham Jr. died in Placerville, California, March 25, 2016, at age 100. He was born Feb. 22, 1916, in Fresno, Calif., the son of Fay Louis Sr. and Mena Grace Isham. He lived most of his life in Fresno, moving to Placerville, Calif., in 2009 to be near his daughter, granddaughter, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

A kind and gentle man, Bob was content to live out his years quietly with his dog by his side. He had worked hard and he was a good man. When asked the reason for his longevity he said “all things in moderation.”

Bob graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1935. He went to work for Evan’s Electric in 1936, where he would stay 54 years until his retirement. In 1940 he married Annis Everett. They had one daughter, Sharon. After Annis’s death in 1969 he married Mildred Everett, who died in 2001. He possessed an entertaining sense of humor and he was always in a good mood. He loved to sing and he was once a master whistler.

Bob was preceded in death by Annis; Mildred; his only sibling, Helen Clore; and his lifelong friend, Pete Licouris. He is survived by his daughter, Sharon; granddaughter, Robin (Danny); great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon), Christopher (Kelly), Scott and Holly; and three great-great grandchildren, Avery, Rory and Haydon.

There will be a private burial service at Belmont Memorial Park in Fresno. In lieu of flowers Bob requested donations be sent to the Fresno SPCA."
