Sedalia Michel, Farmington Twp., dies

ELGIN – Sedalia E. Michel, 76, of Farmingtown Township, a long-time area farmer, died this weekend of a heart attack at his home.

Mr. Michel was born Jan. 30, 1911, in Howard County, Iowa. He married the former Mabel Kaul on Dec. 25, 1930, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rochester. He had farmed in Farmingtown Township, Olmsted County, since 1949. Mrs. Michel died Nov. 29, 1986.

Survivors include two sons, Dale H. of Rochester and Delbert L. of Elgin; a daughter, Deloris E. Swee of Fridley, Minn.; and nine grandchildren. Three brothers preceded him in death.

Mr. Michel was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where the funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Donald Wuertz officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Randfranz Funeral Home and for one hour before the service at the church Wednesday.
