Ashley Jane (Carter) Chicoine, 33, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife for ten years of Anthony “Tony” C. Chicoine to whom she was happily married.
Ashley was born on June 20, 1982 in Galax, Virginia. She spent her childhood years in Independence, Virginia prior to moving to Hendersonville, North Carolina.
On May 7, 2006 she married the love of her life and together on November 1, 2011 they welcomed their son, Jackson Joseph Chicoine. Ashley was a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister, and dedicated her days to taking care of her family, especially baking them special treats.
She was a member of Mitchell’s Grove United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and son, Ashley is survived by her parents, Rev. Dr. Timothy R. and Jane (Kerrigan) Porter of High Point; a brother, Jon Porter and his fiancé, Amy of Inman, South Carolina; a sister, Kelly Rosenfeld and her husband, Craig of Kernersville; two aunts, Helen Deyerle and her husband, Ray of Roanoke, Virginia, and Kathy Jackson and her husband, Rick of Fries, Virginia.
A celebration of life service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2016 at Mitchell’s Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Steve Rainey and Rev. Donald Thomas officiating. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. A family burial will take place 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2016 in Birchlawn Burial Park, Pearisburg, Virginia. (Edited by Jeff Lovelace.)
