Funeral Services for John L. Pearson, formerly of Hillsboro, who died October 17 at his home in Orland Cal. were held in the home chapel of Young's Funeral Home, Monday. Rev. John Schierling officiated and vault interment was at Fir Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Pearson was born in Sweden on May 17, 1867, and came to the United States with his parents when he was three years old. He was married to Hilda A. Allen (Ahlin) in Moscow, Ida. in 1907. The couple moved to Hillsboro in 1918 and engaged in farming here until three years ago.
Mr. Pearson was a member of Montezuma Lodge No. 50 and IOOF. He is survived by the widow; 2 daughters Mrs. Alyce Wynn of Spokane, and Mrs. Helen Melton of Anchorage, Alaska; three sons Harry, John and Earl of Hillsboro; and two brothers Fred of Orland, Cal. and Chris of Puyallup, Wash.
