Mrs. Maria KARBER, 88 years of age, died Thursday evening, October 2, in the home of her son, J. P. KARBER, near Bethany in Beaver County, Okla. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 5, at the Mennonite Brethren Church, west of Balko.
Mrs. KARBER was born December 18, 1852, in Poland. She was married in Poland. She and her husband the late Julius KARBER, who preceded her in death about 21 years, came to the United States in 1874. They first settled in Illinois.
Prior to coming to Beaver County, Okla., in 1914, the KARBERS lived in Kansas and other parts of Oklahoma. They made the run into Oklahoma , and lived at Fairview, Okla., just before moving to Beaver County.
Survivors include four sons, J. P. and H. H. KARBER of Balko, Okla.; D. M. KARBER of Washington; and P. J. KARBER, California; and one daughter, Mrs. Pauline NEUFELD, Engles, Kansas.
