Joe enjoyed being outdoors and took great pride working around the house. He had many musical talents and played the Cordovox accordion (polka music was a favorite) and keyboard. Joe loved playing songs for his wife, Lil. In his younger days, he was a member of the Polish American Stringband. He also had fond memories of playing in the band, The Twilighters. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, Joe enjoyed trips to Florida and his home in the Poconos with his family. His family always came first.
Joe will be remembered for his determined spirit and unwavering faith. He was predeceased by his parents John and Rose Alesczyk, wife Lillian, brothers-in-law Joseph and Edward (Mabel), sister-in-law Helen, son Joseph, and son-in-law Don. He leaves to cherish his memory daughters Barbara and Theresa, son John (Renae), and daughter-in-law Eileen. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Christopher (Danielle), Melissa (Andrew), Eric, Evan, JoAnna, and Ryan, as well as sister Dolores (Roger), brother Ted (Shirley), brother-in-law Alan, nieces, nephews, and friends. Dad, you will be forever in our hearts and always on our minds!
Family and friends are invited to Joe’s viewing and funeral services. His viewing will be held at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish (St. Joseph’s RC Church), Warren Street, Beverly, NJ on Tuesday, May 19th from 8:30-10am , with Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 10am. Burial will follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery, Bridgeboro Rd., Riverside, NJ. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and aides from the CCU at Lourdes Medical Center and Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center at Virtua for their compassionate care of Joe.
