Joyce Alexander, 75, passed away Feb. 23.
Joyce Ann Norcross was born March 16, 1939 in Villisca, Iowa to Donald and Ruby (Rupp) Norcross. She grew up on a farm in Iowa and after graduating high school, she moved to Omaha, Neb.
She worked at some of Omaha's best known businesses such as AT&T, Mutual of Omaha and Con Agra. She made her home there and wintered in Lake Havasu City in her casita with her daughter and son-in-law.
Joyce battled three bouts of cancer and fought hard.
Joyce married Robert Alexander June 14, 1997; he died Sept. 15, 2010. She was a member and volunteer with the Eagles 48 in Omaha, Neb. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and knitting.
Joyce is survived by her children Pam (Trevor) Nelson of Lake Havasu City and Michael (Peggy) Alexander of Omaha, Neb.; brothers Gerald (Lynn) Norcross of Illinois and James (Connie) Courcier of Iowa; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Donna and granddaughter Kristi.
