During World War II in Germany and the Korean Conflict, he served in the United States Army. He retired from Pitzer Transfer. Mr. Alls was a long time member of Oakland Baptist church. He loved to travel, and with his late wife, Nina, they traveled all over the U.S., from one end to the other.
He was predeceased by his father, Burrell Hampton Alls and mother, Carrie Lora Ann Alls Boyd, and his beloved wife, Nina B. Alls.
Surviving are his brother, Kenneth Alls; two sisters, Virginia Caldwell and Shirley Carter; stepson, Forrest Bratton; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles; and next door neighbors, Wayne and Cindy Bowles.
There will be a time of visitation on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Oakey’s North Chapel from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from Oakey’s North Chapel at 10:00 AM with Rev. Scott Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with military honors.
