SUDDEN DEATH
Charles Henry Belz, aged 63, waterside worker, died suddenly at the Imperial Hotel yesterday morning. He had been receiving medical attention for some time. Belz had attended a labour pick-up, but not feeling well he returned to the hotel. He was a prominent figure in the Labour movement, having occupied executive positions on the Transport Workers' Union and the Waterside Workers' Federation. He was also one of the first trustees of the Trades Hall Board and at his death was treasurer of that body. His wife is licensee of the Imperial Hotel.
