He was awarded the US Army Good Conduct medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign medal with 4 service stars, World War II Victory medal, the Marksman's badge with Rifle bar and the World War II Service medal from Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. His Army unit also was awarded the Presidential Unit Citation.
